Why is it cold in Duluth / Recollections

 Many people do have this experience where they have  some kind of emotions about life having not much meaning.  These experiences are generally not so pleasant.   See, if somebody starts you out, and clearly explains to you so that you can write down on a 3 by 5 card, laminate it , so that you could keep it with you, that clearly described what life means, well, it would always be there, and always the same.  That would be an experience that few of us do have.  For example, I personally know very few people that carry around laminated 3 x 5 cards, although I am sure , they might be around. It also seems, when life is particularly chaotic, that we will have a harder time finding that meaning , we do seem to crave in life. But actually I think some of the difficulty for some of us is adding it all up.  Like, there's always going to be some meaning at some level, but perhaps we just don't care about that and only try to focus upon some meaning that ...

 So, I do not wish to get anti-climatic, since at this point there is no " real " climax, but in combat between a Messerschmidt 109 and a Studebaker , well, to put it simply, the former was not really engineered to be nice.  There is only so much motivation that you can do to make it nice ... On the other hand, the Studebaker was in fact mostly designed to be nice.  So, in that context you might assume that the " nice " guy will inevitably finish last, but actually, as it turns out, in this situation, not so much. Now, how might that be possible?  Well, it is a very odd thing, which came about mostly from Ralphy's younger years, that in fact, he was extremely playful. So for him, combat was a form of play and so, because he was a lot better at playing, in those one-on-one combat situations, he was also frequently the winner.  And beyond that, well, 'cause he was such a nice guy, he would often make it look like Mr. M, was, actually?, in fact , that  Big M,...

 Why would Ralphy be in a dingy ?  He's not. Don't worry,. That is kind of silly, but actually, he is currently in Bermuda, which causes me  just a bit of anxiety,  What is he doing in Bermuda on Thanksgiving ? Anyway it's about time to introduce the nemesis, without which this might get boring in the next 100 pages or so. It was sometime after the big >> bommm << or >> fissile << of 2000, when folks were anticipating airplanes falling from the sky and also after airplanes did fall out of the sky, after that, while employed here in Duluth, and involved with preparing a Thanksgiving turkey. Tried  " low temp " cooking of turkey with a lot of molasses, like not sure but lots, and the turkey cooked for like 20 hrs. , below 200 and the whole turkey turned into soup.  There must be a moral here. Anyway, here's the question ? Was it hot or cold ? Was there a Studebaker pickup truck parked in the ally?  If so, was there more than one ? Also and what may be most important to sorting this thing out, was the moon  waxing crescent, waxing gibbous, waning gibbous, o...

 ( foreshadowing , a nemesis ? ) And so if a Studebaker could cry, then,  one might  guess , there might be one on such an anniversary.  And yes, and no, that would be a remembrance of Mr. John F. Kennedy, most likely, and you know there might be some folks with these recollections who might well also. But of course Ralphie was a big, big, big fan, even though at that time he was only 4 or 5 or 6 ?  Anyway, there were some big times, of course there was Kesey and his bus oddly filtering through this time frame.  But, of course there was some type of connection that Ralphie felt, because I believe that Ralphie truly considered this President to be his President, which may or may not be a ridiculous sentiment for an alien vehicle of that >> bizarre << type.   So look, what does this all mean ? Do Studebakers cry ?  That's it.  Don't know enough about Studebakers to say, really. 

 You know sometimes it can be difficult to take responsibility, for things that you may be responsible for.  Why this is is not always entirely clear.  For example I would prefer to blame an old automobile in the mountains of Portugal on all our problems than to consider actions I may have taken that would influence the outcomes in the world that we see now.   Personally I think, we can also use history as a >> scape goat <<< for our difficulties.  For example, I believe that the Crimean War, was responsible for the 1st World War, and likewise the 1st World War led inevitably to the 2nd.  And so, now, we are here today, were  we are, but we certainly do have difficulties.  But, I must point out, or must believe, that we are learning stuff, and maybe, just maybe, we can begin to make some better , wiser, and more sound decisions as we progress.  Hopefully.   Not impossible, not impossible at all.  Now, when we reflect back on " reality ", most people will agree, >>> it's hard to do without it <<< Now, we might be able to figure out how Godel's Proof , ties back to all this stuff, but it seems to me that if you want to describe some kind of reality, then you pretty much have to talk about diversity, and so probably, possibly what you are really talking about is the " ability " to sort out, elements of diversity as being a substantive process which it kind of seems like is persistently .occurring.   This might occur through action like --->  back actions <--- of some different processes or  even ---> front action <----, which might be easier to comprehend.  Now,  there is a strong stream of writing/literature  running often in the Galactic Encyclopedia, which has to do with the inter-breeding that has gone on between Altarians and Alterians.  This is the kind of thing that Ralphy likes to dip into from time to time, when Dostoyevsky is just not working for him and he's looking for  that melancholy mood.  Tell me, what could be finer, than to be in a traffic, snarling, in L.A. , early in the morning. Meanwhile, Ralphy is busy in Hawaii transporting pineapples, and surreptitiously sending out photos, of these weird protests.  I really don't want to know that much about pineapples. And photos of folks protesting in what - distant Galaxy, not sure that's that interesting, really. So, back to hot and cold, which for all intents and purposes is what this is about, the Earth-centric P.OV. is of course quite significant, particularly if Earth is your " actual " primary residence.  One thing that is often important in terms of P.O.V. would have to be reference, which can often refer back to records, like documents for example.   On earth, what do we have ?  Well, there is the Bhagavad Gita, (Zend Avesta, obsolete) , lots of " biblical " text, Gospels, etc, , Avesta of Zoroaster, I-Ching, Torah, Koran, Popol Vuh, Tripitaka, etc.  These texts give us some histor...

  Apparently, as some might say, Ralphy has been particularly absorbed by the Galactic Encyclopedia coverage of mass protests against the end of the Universe.  The major concern , of course, would be that if the Universe were to come to an end, then where would everybody go ?   Okay, this is really scuttle-butt, as for one, we don't know whether they are actually protesting against this Universe coming to an end or maybe some other Universe, and, in fact, we don't even know if the protests are now going on in this Galaxy or perhaps in some other Galaxy, far, far, away ?????  The big problem is all this " new " technology coming on line, it becomes harder and harder everyday to sort this stuff out.  Seriously .

 Now, for a good chunk of Ralphy's younger years it was necessary for him to have a driver, most of the time, else extremely difficult encounters with public officials and others. So, those were the early years you might say , ( when life was beautiful, all of the time ).  As time progressed, Ralphy made an amazing discovery , which was that he could not only holographically project an exterior, or even internal mechanisms, but he could holographically project a driver as well.  You could see, now, that this had a somewhat liberating effect on him.   For example, Ralphy was able to travel to places like Rome, or L.A. , New York, places where you get those " huge bottle necks " , get into snarly traffic, and , just, stall. Sadly this was not that much fun in London.  Now, there is an empty pick-up, in the middle of traffic, and no driver, and the public officials need to drive out and " impound " the vehicle , with all of the equipment necessary for that, an...

 Thinking about knowing is kinda' hard on account of what you are doing is thinking about thinking which clearly can be a confusing situation. But without mentioning , " what did he know, and when did he know it  ",   only need some good examples. For most of my life, I  did not " know " where my cars keys where.  Now, of course, I had a list which included getting a spare key, which some how I never got to.  But guess what ??? I always did know where my keys where when I went for a drive, except for occasionally I would lock them in the car.  So, what does that mean ?  Most of the time I did not know where my keys where, which if anything I had, was one of those " most " important items, for me to know about. So, obviously a pretty difficult subject which we can easily dismiss by saying, >> we just don't know <<.  So, pretty sure at this point, many people are aware that ,  the situation on this planet, may by some standards be considered grim.  For a neurotic pick-up truck, who is perhaps hyper-sensitive to emotional states, which allows him to successfully navigate really " narly " traffic situations, plays on lots of other sensitive chards in his existence , like the great sense of " isolation ", vast nothingness, ect.  And then there is the crankiness, which is most probably connected to the Studebaker label, which , oddly, he does proudly wear to this day.  He is basically an automobile, at heart, and yet he does have these strong emotional attachments and connections to people as well as other beings who do dwell here, ( trees for example ).  Of course, some people who may have reached this, some what, convoluted location in this " supposed " narrative will of course take issue with the " seeming " unnatural aspects of an " intelligent ", pick-up truck.  Well, I guess, I must, absolutely must, digress, but also apologize, because the " details " complete are such a vast array of numbers and calculations, which for many people would just induce a state of something like nausea.  Nevertheless, if we consider rigidity or fluidity, sort of the idea of being static or being fluid, these are ideas that appear to us all the time.  For example, take ice, which we can see, transforming from rigid to fluid in a glass in front of our eyes.  But, if you consider, for example, the sky, you may be able to see it can appear rigid at times and yet very quickly transform into something visually which has a great deal of movement.
