Wake up call, or something like that.
So, a subtitle might be Robert's rules of disorder, however, it is unlikely that I would be able to make sense of that connection, and so.
Well, it does appear that most things sleep. Some might have skepticism on this subject, nevertheless, if you consider plant life, there is obviously a change of state from daylight to nighttime hours, which implies a definite change. Birds apparently sleep as well, although sometimes I think they are faking it and I wonder if they are capable of sleeping while they are flying. Birds, obviously, think somewhat differently than people or other animals, fortunately, and so there are less bird brains among humans than you might expect. With trees, of course, I am not sure, because, the rustling of leaves will often put me to sleep, but I'm not sure show restful that might be for a tree.
Anyway, we all, mostly, go through this process, on practically a daily basis, in which we wake up. Now, I am not clear on the public issues arising on whether or not this is a good thing. It seems to me , there is some kind of public argument as to whether or not being " awake " or " woke ", is a good thing. This seems to suggest that a good social norm would be for people generally, not to think, or express them selves, but to exist in a, sort of, state of semi-awareness, in which you simply act , in the manner in which you are told, assumingly, by better knowing folks, who may or may not be "woke" themselves.
All this is a bit curious, and perhaps besides the point. We all do it, meaning, bears and penguins and lots of stuff we might not even know about. However, my point is really that, although we do it all the time, every once in a while we experience , in our lives, events that stand out in some way, that we call a "wakening" or maybe other terms. In the end, it has to do with mostly one thing, which is we become aware of, or new information becomes available, which perhaps leads us to follow paths which we did not anticipate or paths that may not be as familiar to us, compared to what we had been experiencing up 'til that point. And so, the facts or the new awareness is sometimes referred to as : a wake up call. We might be living in a time like that , now. But certainly, looking back through history, we have had periods of that sort.
So, I guess , in the end, there is always more than one way to get things done. In new or unexpected circumstances, we may have to try more than one.
But mostly, I believe, we should prefer the best methods and choices for, everyone.
