not really about anything

So, this is simply where I go on, hopefully not too long, about nothing.  It's one of those off ramps, don't know really what I'm talking about, but mostly about elections. It could be a graphic of the Super Blue Moon.

Now , many people will say that the 2024 election is the most important election in the history of our country.  People who have studied all the elections in out country would be much better positioned to know about that.  But I would say, really, every election in American history would have been the most important election in U.S. history at that time.  But, if  it is really  the most important, one of the most important indicators of that, would simply have to be, the number of people who actually get out to vote.

Which brings us back to " stolen " elections.  I am sure that there have been , in practically every election some issues related to some kinds of - misconduct - on some level.  Obviously, the 2000 election comes to mind.  But in 2020, the authoritative figures acclaimed it the most fair.. It's very interesting that Richard Nixon didn't jump up and down about the 1960 elections.  Of course, in 1968 the election results did seem quite obvious, so you see, that Mr. Nixon seemed to see that if he wanted back into the White House, he had better let things " cool ", a bit before he jumped back in, which, what ever you say about our boy Nixon, it was, that he was pretty clever.  Clever enough to know what the American people collectively wanted to hear, and at the same time, when he could hold peoples attention, in such a way as to get the votes.  But it does seem that most politicians make mistakes.  So, inappropriately, I would say that Mr. John Kennedy make one rather serious mistake, by riding into some stray pieces of lead, unfortunately they were hard to avoid.  But, in my opinion, Mr. H. Humphrey did seem to make less mistakes, but of course he was --- literally --- clobbered by Richard Nixon.  Some of us , should be proud that he did carry Texas,

What could possibly be the point, ? Just no point, what so ever.  Living in the U.S.A. can be quite complex because we have lots of people who think about and pretty much do a lot about lots of things.

But, just think about this , we do this voting thing.  Lots of stuff happens.  Lots of people talk about lots of things, and many of us get angry, and other things, but you know that, really, if you stop and think about it, the best thing is, we do , do it, and then we do it again.  Apparently, we like doing it, although some people might remain angry or disappointed for the next four years.  I am not sure why we really like that so much, but apparently having done it for so long now, it just feels like the right / or left thing to do.  And I really think it is.  It's really important.  And, I think mainly , it is important, because it does allow us to know ourselves a little better, which really has to be a good thing, for a government which is , in fact, by the people and for the people, at least some of time or as much as possible. The people should really know each other and perhaps appreciate each other and our differences, but know that lots or most of us do value the same things.
