Seems like , the more things change, the more they stay the same
I guess, one of the ways you do notice things changing, is the when Spring comes, or doesn't. But you know it's always happening, then suddenly you realize, hey, it's here.
Now, going back to Missouri, and Bloomer, whose real name is actually Mike Henry, and of course is now 85 years old and still working on agricultural equipment , as he has, since his father passed away in 1954, and he took over for his father, at Herb's farm. He has been living his life, more or less the same way since then. Of course, he has had an intermittent room mate, who for the last several years , has become , even more intermittent, but does show up at Bloomer's place from time to time. He (Ralphy/Ralphie) was gone for most of February, and now is apparently hanging out in Northern Minnesota.
Of course, it hasn't been that bad. Very few people in the Missouri can travel to Moscow, or Mexico City for lunch and be back to work on farm equipment in the afternoon. But you know, as far as " fault " goes, he was really only responsible if he actually knew how to shut Ralphy off, which in fact he never did or in fact never could.
Soon, he will be receiving a very unusual phone call.. But hey, the more things do change, it does seem, it also stays the same.
