Sure! Light-hearted !

Here’s a lighthearted poem about a frolicking dog and a squirrel caught in a sudden rainstorm on a bright afternoon:

### A Sudden Shower

On a bright afternoon, with the sun shining high,

A playful dog bounded, chasing clouds in the sky.

With a wag of his tail and a bark full of cheer,

He danced through the grass, with nothing to fear.

But up in the branches, a squirrel took flight,

Gathering acorns, a bustling delight.

He leaped from the twigs, with a flick of his tail,

Unaware of the storm that would soon set the trail.

Then came the dark clouds, rolling in fast,

A rumble of thunder, a shadow was cast.

The dog paused his frolic, looked up with surprise,

As raindrops came tumbling from gray, brooding skies.

The squirrel, oh dear! He dashed for a tree,

But a slip on the branch made him tumble with glee.

The dog, now all soaked, with mud on his paws,

Gazed at the squirrel, who clung to the cause.

Together they shivered, in puddles they played,

With laughter and barks, as the storm gently swayed.

In the midst of the rain, they found joy in the plight,

Two friends in the downpour, a whimsical sight.

So when storms come a-calling, and skies turn to gray,

Remember the dog and the squirrel at play.

For in every downpour, there’s laughter to find,

A reminder that joy can be one of a kind.
